What is Ortho-K?

Orthokeratology, or ortho-k, are specially designed and fitted contact lenses that temporarily reshape the cornea. Ortho-k lenses are commonly worn overnight to provide clear vision throughout the following day without the need for eyeglasses or laser eye surgery.

With consistent use, ortho-k can correct refractive errors such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia.

How Does Ortho-K Work?

Ortho-k lenses work by flattening the center of the cornea which changes how the light enters the eye. After the lenses are removed, the cornea stays flattened temporarily, helping your eyes focus properly during the day.
